Generator Property Management (GPM) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr David Wood as Chief Executive, commencing on Monday February 3.

David succeeds Mr Stephen Saladine, who has led and grown the company since its inception in 2016 but who is now retiring from full time executive work. Under Steve’s leadership the Munmorah Power Station and associated  infrastructure was successfully demolished and many studies completed allowing planning for site remediation at this Central Coast site.  Having taken over the remediation of the ash dams of the former Wallerawang Power Station at Lidsdale near Lithgow the company has already brought the site under control and undertaken some remediation work at this location, but there is a great deal more to do.

David comes to GPM with very extensive direct management and oversight of hundreds of  complex demolition and remediation projects in many sectors, including mining, defence and industrial sites.  He has been associated with the growth of two of Australia’s leading demolition and remediation companies, most recently holding senior executive roles at Liberty Industrial.

We look forward to welcoming David as we progress our remediation efforts at both our Central Coast and Western sites.

Current Projects:
Following the successful demolition of the former Munmorah Power Station, GPM is monitoring the site for potential future use, which includes approximately 700 hectares of surrounding land and infrastructure.

Following the declaration by the EPA of the former Munmorah Power Station as significantly contaminated, GPM is now working towards organising a Community Consultation Group. Please see the Munmorah Community Consultation Group page for more information.

GPM is also the owner of the Ash Storage Dams and stockpiles in Kerosene Vale at Lidsdale comprising an area of approximately 528ha that was formerly part of the now-closed Wallerawang Power Station. GPM’s key focus will be planning for and then undertaking the safe closure of the Kerosene Vale Ash Repository (KVAR) and the Sawyers Swamp Creek Ash Dam and then appropriately remediating the balance of the site for permanent closure. For more information please see the KVAR Community Consultation Group page.
